Two fishermen have been rescued from their partly sunken boat in the ocean off Broome after going missing yesterday afternoon. The men, a 33-year-old from Mindarie and a 21-year-old from Leeman, were holidaying in Broome when they failed to return from a fishing trip yesterday afternoon. Water Police spokesman Sgt Michael Wear said men were spotted waving from their stricken vessel around 10am by the AUSSAR Search and Rescue aircraft off Broome. The pair had been picked up by a rescue boat which is heading for Entrance Point, where St John Ambulance paramedics are waiting to assess their health.
