Earlier this week, anglers reported great catch-and-release catches of gag grouper and the theoretically "endangered" red snapper. Other bottom species which have been biting well off Sebastian and Port Canaveral include triggerfish, lane snapper, seabass, mutton snapper and cobia. The 70-100 foot reefs have been most productive. Lobster divers found 58 degree temperatures on the bottom in 60', but reported seeing many big grouper. Several wahoo were landed offshore around 180 feet by those trolling with skirted ballyhoo. It looks like another blown-out weekend ahead, but springtime is on its way.
